TL;DR - Natural Language Queries

  • What: Describe requirements in plain language instead of selecting specific filters
  • How: Either enter a short requirement (“need a React developer”) or paste a full job description
  • Process: AI automatically converts your text into structured search criteria (skills, level, industry, etc.)
  • Why: Eliminates need to know exact terms or think of all related skills - let AI do the heavy lifting

Pro Tip: Be specific in your description, review AI suggestions, adjust if needed.

📜 Details

Natural Language Queries allow you to describe your requirements in plain language, just as you would explain them to a colleague. Our AI then translates your description into structured search criteria, making the search process more intuitive and efficient.

Why Natural Language & GenAI?

That’s a learning from our first version of the Skill Guru: Traditional search queries require a high mental load and thus higher the usage barrier. Youz need to:

  • Know exact skill names
  • Think of all related skills
  • Specify technical requirements precisely
  • R…

With Natural Language Queries, simply describe what you need, and let the AI handle the translation.

Input Options

1. Short Requirement

  • Best for: Specific skill or role searches
  • Direct and immediate translation

2. Full Job Description

  • Paste complete job descriptions

You might be looking for:

“Someone that can build me a datawarehouse in the cloud, write SQL and guide me with vendor selection?”

Paste this into the chat interface and the AI will seperate this into structured filter criteria, like:

“Cloud Datawarehouse”, “SQL”, “Vendor Selection”

You can now review the filters and edit them to your needs

Currently the skill filter criteria are limited to skills present in our database

If you are looking for skills we might not yet have in, they will not be returned.

Example: “I need someone who knows leadership Coaching, GALLUP strengths and is capabable of Resilience Training.”

.. will probably return ✅: “Leadership Coaching”…

…but misses ❌: “GALLUP Strengths” and “Resilience Training” as we currently don’t have these in our database.

We are working on making it more flexible
